SHAH ALAM - Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad believes that the conflict between Perikatan Nasional (PN) and Perlis Pas can be resolved.
According to him, political disagreements are not a new phenomenon in leadership anywhere.
"Political conflicts occur everywhere, and it's the same situation in the government today.
"But I believe they can handle this problem well," he said at a press conference during the Gathering of a Thousand Malay Women held at the Ideal Convention Centre (IDCC) near here today.
On Oct 26, local media reported that Perlis Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) chairman Abu Bakar Hamzah, claimed that there was disunity within the party's coalition due to internal conflicts in Perlis Pas.
Following this, Perlis Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli said there was no internal conflict within Pas in the state, but they were aware of the presence of a few State Assembly Members from PN who continued to criticise the state government.
