SHAH ALAM - The Kelantan state government is renowned for its commitment to fairness and its benevolent treatment of the Kelantanese.
This has been revealed by Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud, who stressed that the Pas administration was putting the welfare of Kelantanese as a main priority even during the time of the late former Kelantan Menteri Besar Tan Sri Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat.
"We are grateful that the Kelantan state government remains financially stable and continues to provide assistance to our rakyat. "Despite misconceptions about Kelantan's economic situation, we are far from bankrupt," he stated.
He also added that the state government's generous initiatives offered not just hundreds but thousands of free houses to the Kelantanese.
"We provide three-bedroom houses for free and no payment is required,” the Meranti assemblyman said during his speech in conjunction with 69th Pas Muktamar at the Ideal Convention Centre, Shah Alam, tonight.
Nassuruddin further said that Nik Aziz was mandated by the state government to provide free houses with three rooms : one for parents, one for sons and one for daughters.
Besides free houses, he added that the Kelantan government offered loans to Kelantan residents without any interest. "If you borrow RM 300,000, you only need to repay RM 300,000.
"If you borrow RM 150,000 to buy a car, you only need to repay RM 150,000 without any interest.
He added that the late Nik Aziz's philosophy emphasised the rewards in the hereafter, prioritising benevolence over profit.
Besides that, he also said the Kelantan state government also provided rice, cooking oil and sugar for free to the villagers.
"We don’t need Rahmah price, we are giving it for free for Kelantanese,” he added.
