SHAH ALAM - A special meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) approved 15 moves involving the steps that must be taken to compel Israel to stop all attacks, crimes and violations.
Malaysian Parliament Caucus for Palestine head Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh said it was an effort to provide international protection for the Palestinians from ongoing attacks by the Israeli and extreme colonial factions.
"Malaysia strictly sees what happened in Gaza as a crime of genocide that did not start on October 7 but has been going on for decades.
"With the bombing of Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza, Malaysia insists criticisation must be translated into action to stop the terrible killings and bring Israel to justice," he said in a statement on Friday.
He added that the action not only violated international law but was even worse, which violated the fundamental morality of humanity.
Syed Ibrahim said Israeli’s oppressive practices, as well as any hostility toward the defenceless Palestinian people, reckless and excessive military acts, political takeover, and illegal annexation must end.
"At this point, the double-standard attitude of the international community is very noticeable, it is different in the effort to gain support against Russia.
"There should be an effort to establish a free and secure humanitarian corridor to Gaza so that humanitarian aid can be channelled immediately.
"The Gaza Strip is now the world's worst humanitarian disaster," he said.
Syed Ibrahim added Malaysia was expected to maintain separate communication with other countries in these few days to end the crisis in Gaza.
He said the people's representatives also need to be united until Israel stopped their inhumane attacks.
