SHAH ALAM – Pas youth chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaarin calls for Muslims in the country to band together and stage a massive marching protest towards the US Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, to protest the ongoing siege against the Palestinians in Gaza.

The clarion call was voiced by Ahmad Fadhli in his keynote address at the wing’s 64th Muktamar at a convention centre here today, stressing that no Muslims should turn a blind eye against the recent brutality done by the Israeli military.

"I implore every Muslims in the country to participate in this protest. We will walk towards the US Embassy. When? Insyallah, we will decide on the date soon,” said Ahmad Fadhli who will not be seeking a re-election in tomorrow’s wing polls.

Ahmad Fadhli was referring to the tragedy which struck today, where the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza City was destroyed in an airstrike bombing killing over 500 Palestinians.

"Even though the Palestinians have been weakened by the Islamic Arab nations which have disappointingly normalised Israel’s atrocities, their spirits have never faltered. They braved cruelties with utmost courage.

"I implore Pas members to continue their fight and struggle on the issue and plight of the Palestinians till the very last drop of their blood,” Fahdli bellowed amidst a thunderous applause.

On Tuesday, Gaza authorities said an Israeli air strike had killed about 500 people at a hospital in the Palestinian enclave.

The death toll was by far the highest of any single incident in Gaza during the current violence, triggering protests in the occupied West Bank, Istanbul and Amman.

Palestinian Authority's health minister, Mai Alkaila, accused Israel of "a massacre" at Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital. The strike killed hundreds of people and occurred during Israel's intense 11-day bombing campaign in Gaza.
