LOS ANGELES - Three people were killed and a fourth person wounded in a car-to-car shooting Monday night in Los Angeles, the largest city in the western United States, Xinhua quoted a local media report Tuesday, citing police.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department was quoted as saying by KABC-TV, the West Coast flagship station of the ABC television network, that the shooting happened around 9.30 pm Monday local time in the North Hollywood neighbourhood.
Police said the gunfire erupted from a silver sedan with three or four men inside, said the report, adding that the suspects fired at a black sedan and then quickly fled.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Two of the shooting victims drove themselves in the black Mercedes-Benz sedan to a local hospital, where they died a short time later, according to the report.
No suspects were in custody and the motive for the shooting also remained under investigation, the report stated. -BERNAMA
