SHAH ALAM - The government is committed to introducing new initiatives under the Malaysia Visa Liberalisation Plan to attract more tourists and investors, especially from India and China.
Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said this when tabling the Malaysia Madani Budget 2024 in the Dewan Rakyat today.
Among the new initiatives include: simplifying the employment pass approval process for strategic investors in key sectors, introducing a long-term social visit pass for international students who have completed their studies to meet the needs of industry skilled labour and improving the visa-on-arrival, social visit pass, and multiple entry visa facilities.
"These initiatives are aimed at making it easier for tourists and investors to come to Malaysia,” Anwar said.
