KUALA LUMPUR - The government will continue to strengthen the agro-food industry in the nation.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the allocation will be channelled in different forms for individuals in the industry.
"The government will allocate RM2.6 billion to provide various subsidies and incentives to farmers and fishermen.
"This allocation represents a RM600 million increase compared to this year, in line with the government's decision to raise the Price Subsidy Scheme from RM360 to RM500 per metric ton,” he said while tabling the Madani Malaysia Budget 2024.
