KUALA LUMPUR - A total of RM2.8 billion has been allocated for the maintenance of federal roads and bridges, with RM300 million specifically designated for contractors of grades G1 to G4.
Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the district engineer's services will be further strengthened to promptly address minor and unforeseen complaints involving federal roads.
"The government will increase the allocation to RM200,000 from RM100,000 for 115 district engineers, with a total allocation of RM30 million," he said during the tabling of the Malaysia Madani Budget 2024 in the Dewan Rakyat, today.
