Budget 2024 begins

KUALA LUMPUR - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim begins tabling the Malaysia Madani 2024 Budget.

He arrived at Parliament just before 4pm earlier.

Members of parliament from both divides were also seen arriving at the parliament building, making their way to the Dewan Rakyat.

The Dewan Rakyat saw a full house of attendees today as the Finance Minister laid out the nation's budget allocation for 2024.

The opposition MPs were seen dressed in white to show support for the plight suffered by the Palestinian people.

Themed "Madani Economy: Empowering the People", the budget is also expected to include new tax measures, as the government has hinted at its intention to expand its source of revenue.
