MUAR - A man assaulted his wife, causing her injuries, after he became enraged when questioned about his late return home in Parit Java on Wednesday.
Muar district police chief Assistant Commissioner Raiz Mukhliz Azman Aziz said in the 11.30pm incident that the unemployed man had returned home late.
"The suspect's wife, 32, has asked why he got home late.
"The suspect abruptly shouted at his wife, raising his voice to avoid being questioned.
"He then started to kick her on her back and punched her right arm, he said when contacted.
After lodging a complaint with the police, the victim sought treatment at Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital (HPSF) for her injuries, he added.
