PUTRAJAYA - The Malaysia Truly Asia Tourism Golf Challenge 2023 that will tee off at the Saujana Golf and Country Club in Shah Alam on Oct 25, is expected to feature 200 local and foreign golfers who will be vying for prizes worth RM500,000.
Tourism and Culture Ministry Cooperative (Koppema) chairman Datuk Musa Yusof said 70 percent of the slots have already been filled as early as June.
"We have so far received confirmed participation from Singapore, Thailand and China,” he told reporters at the pre-launch of the golf challenge, here tonight.
Musa said the championship is aimed at strengthening the cooperation of those involved in the Tourism Malaysia industry, as well as to promote the country to local and foreign golf enthusiasts. We also hope to promote Malaysia as a preferred golfing destination,” he said.
He added that the championship had received support from 43 popular organisations and strategic partners.
The championships also offers Ducati Diavel motorcycle and a Perodua Ativa car as hole-in-one prizes. - BERNAMA
