SHAH ALAM - The Muhammad Al-Amin Mosque in Gaza, Palestine, which was constructed by a Malaysian non-governmental organisation (NGO), Muslim Care Malaysia (MCM), has been completely destroyed due to Israeli military airstrikes.

MCM said he had built the mosque in 2013 for the use of the Palestinian people, but it has now been entirely reduced to rubble and cannot be used.

"Our hearts are shattered to see this beautiful mosque, a result of the contributions from the Malaysian people, completely demolished by Zionist Israeli airstrikes.

"At the end of 2013, we made history by successfully constructing a spacious and beautiful mosque, but unfortunately, with all the efforts and contributions of the Malaysian people, yesterday the Muhammad Al Amin Mosque was entirely destroyed," MCM shared in a Facebook post today.

Yesterday, Hamas launched Operation al-Aqsa, accompanied by the Palestinian people, as a message of self-defence and the defence of their homeland's sovereignty, in addition to responding to the oppression and violence carried out by the Zionist regime for nearly a century.

Khaled Qadoumi, an international relations officer for Hamas, said that the Palestinian people were currently facing oppression by the right-wing (extremist) Israeli administration, which is believed to be violating various international laws.

However, MCM clarified that such incidents do not diminish the spirit and jihad of Muslims.

"Just as strong as the fighting spirit of our Palestinian brothers and sisters, so too are our hearts resolute in continuing to stand united.

"More aid and funds will be channelled as a sign of support for our brothers and sisters in Palestine," they said.
