IPOH - Two elderly men were killed in an accident involving two vehicles at KM365 of the North-South Expressway (NSE) northbound near Slim River early this morning.
Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Division assistant director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said the 5.45 am accident involved a Mitsubishi Pajero and a trailer.
On arrival at the scene, firemen found the two victims, aged 83 and 76, trapped in the vehicle.
"The victims were pronounced dead at the scene,” he said in a statement today, adding that the trailer driver, aged 31, escaped unhurt.
Sabarodzi said firemen extricated their bodies from the wrecked vehicle before handing them over to the police for further action. - BERNAMA
