BENTONG - Perikatan Nasional (PN) has claimed that Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Datuk Amizar Abu Adam is not a Pelangai State Legislative Assembly voter.

Pahang PN Election Director Hamdan Abdullah said that Amizar is a voter in the Ketari state assembly, according to data obtained from the Election Commission (EC).

"He (Amizar) is a Ketari voter, but he is campaigning for Pelangai voters to vote for him.

"We see that even though this is allowed by the election law, it is clear that the BN-DAP candidate is not with Pelangai," Hamdan said today.

Amizar admitted to casting his vote in Ketari because he had contested in the seat in the 15th General Election.

However, he said that the issue is not important because the priority is to serve the voters in the Pelangai state assembly.

"I used to compete in Ketari, so if you want to change your vote, you can't because it involves a deed," Amizar said when met at Felda Kemahal today.

"Cikgu Kasim (Kasim Samat) did vote here because he contested here (Pelangai), logically.

"So, we don't want to go against the law. We follow the law of the country."
