KUALA LANGAT - A man pretends to borrow an elderly’s motorcycle before fleeing with it in Pekan Banting today.
Kuala Langat District Police chief Superintendent Ahmad Ridhwan Mohd Nor @ Saleh said the police received a report lodged by the 65-year-old victim at about 11.15am.
"In the 10am incident, the victim was approached by a local man who wanted to borrow his motorbike in order to supposedly deliver something he had bought.
"However, before the victim consented, the suspect instantly fled with the victim's motorcycle," he said in a statement today.
He said that the suspect had later been successfully arrested by a team of police officers around Klang Utara today.
"The 42-year-old suspect was arrested with the victim's motorcycle at about 12.30am.
"Initial investigation revealed the suspect had six past criminal records related to drugs," he said.
He said the suspect was remanded for four days for further investigation.
"The case is being investigated under Section 379A of the Penal Code," he said.
