KEPALA BATAS - A group of vendors admitted that they are pressured by the rising cost of goods recently, which have caused for their businesses to be affected.

She said this matter must be given attention by the government in the tabling of the budget soon, including methods to aid small businesses such as hers.

"We definitely felt the pinch recently with the price hike, we are small vendors and the profits that we aim to make in a day is not that much.

"If I raise prices, customers would not accept it, but if the prices of my goods remain as it was, I stand to gain little from it," she said.

Drinks vendor Hanina Osman, 37, hoped for the government to control the price of goods from increasing further, which burdens not only small businesses, but the people as well.

She explained if the price of goods and cost of living continues to increase it would cause many not to spend, which will later affect businesses.
