BENTONG - Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate for the Pelangai State Assembly by-election Kasim Samat has declared that the constituency deserves more significant development changes since the leadership of Tan Sri Adnan Yaakob.
He said that the area should have seen more development, especially considering that the former Pahang Menteri Besar represented it for quite some time.
"If the Menteri Besar who also became the YB (Member of Parliament) was here, we should have expected even more development.
"Do we have a bank here? What about the cooperative gas station... is there a fire station?" he said during a PN ceramah in the constituency at Felda Chemomoi yesterday.
Adnan, who is also a former leader of Umno, served for 36 years as the assemblyman for Pelangai and 19 years as the Pahang Menteri Besar.
Meanwhile, Kasim also expressed his gratitude to the previous governments for their development efforts and the changes they brought to the Pelangai State Assembly constituency.
While sharing memories of past hardships, Kasim acknowledged that the changes implemented by the previous leadership have brought comfort to the present.
"Thank you to the previous government, our former YB, for the development that has been provided to our village," he said.
