JOHOR BAHRU - The Johor Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) will hold an off-premises and mobile Rahmah Sales Programme (PJR) in Pasir Gudang for two days starting on Sept 29.
Johor KPDN director Lilis Saslinda Pornomo said the two locations chosen in Pasir Gudang are Pasir Putih Park and the People’s Housing Programme (PPR) area in Taman Cendana.
"This time, PJR offers price savings on daily necessities including sugar, flour, eggs, fish, chicken, rice, fruits and vegetables between 10 to 30 per cent cheaper than normal prices,” she said, last night.
She advised the public to buy according to their needs and not to buy excessively so as not to cause panic-buying among consumers.
"Traders in this state are also advised to comply with business laws set by the Ministry and not take the opportunity to increase the price of goods arbitrarily,” she said.
Lilis Saslinda said that so far the Johor KPDN has not received any complaints about the issue of supply disruptions, but a total of 200 enforcement officers will continue to monitor and carry out inspections to ensure that basic and daily supplies are sufficient for consumers in the state.
She said the public can lodge any complaints through the KPDN complaint platform at 1800-88-6800, the KPDN WhatsApp number 019-2794317 or visit any KPDN office throughout the state. - BERNAMA
