KUALA LUMPUR - Police confirmed that no suspicious materials were found at the Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) following a thorough inspection conducted in response to a bomb threat reported at the central bank today.
Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid when contacted, confirmed the information and assured that the BNM area is safe.
"We received the report (of the bomb threat) at around 3 pm and the Bomb Disposal Unit was dispatched to the scene. After a thorough inspection, no suspicious items were found.
"Police have also opened an investigation paper on the bomb threat at BNM,” he added. - BERNAMA
