RAUB - Heavy rainfall for two hours caused the town of Raub to be hit by flash floods on Monday.
The Raub District Disaster Management Committee Secretariat said heavy rain started at about 8.40pm causing the drain reservoir to overflow.
"The Malaysian Civil Defense Force (APM) is currently monitoring the situation," the secretariat said in a statement.
As of 11pm the water seems to be receding and no temporary evacuation centers (PPS) have been opened.
