JOHOR BAHRU - Any form of cooperation with Muda Puteri Wangsa state assemblywoman Amira Aisya Abd Aziz in the Tebrau parliament will be terminated immediately.
Tebrau MP Jimmy Puah Wee Tse made this decision after Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman withdrew support for the Unity government.
Following this, the Johor Pakatan Harapan (PH), through Johor opposition chief Andrew Chen Kah Eng, decided to no longer collaborate with Muda in the PH balance bloc.
He clarified that as the State Assemblywoman for Puteri Wangsa and as a Muda representative in Johor, she would no longer share the same bloc with PH or BN.
"It's like pinching both the right and left thighs. Therefore, I, as an MP in the Unity government, have also decided to terminate any cooperation with the State Assemblywoman for Puteri Wangsa in Tebrau.
"In the near future, we will coordinate our actions in the Puteri Wangsa State Assembly.
"In reality, whether Muda exists or not, in Malaysia, in Johor, and in Tebrau, it doesn't add any meaning because it doesn't contribute any value to PH but rather creates difficulties by issuing statements attacking the leadership of the Unity government," he said in a statement on Tuesday.
He, who is also the Johor PKR deputy chairman, urged Muda to reflect on themselves because, without the support of PH's machinery, supporters, and voters, they would never have a chance to win the Muar parliamentary seat and the Puteri Wangsa state assembly seat.
"The state elections in six states proved this when they lost their deposit in all seats where they were willing to compete against PH in 19 seats.
"It's not excessive for me to compare Muda to 'like a nut forgetting its shell," he said.
