PUTRAJAYA - The DAP 2023 Annual Conference is making history as it is the first time that Barisan Nasional (BN) Chairman Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi has attended the conference.
The conference was held at the Marriott Hotel in Putrajaya at 10 am today.
Others who were seen at the conference include DAP Chairman Lim Guan Eng, secretary-general Anthony Loke Siew Fook, DAP's organising secretary Steven Sim Chee Keong, BN secretary-general Datuk Seri Zambry Abd Kadir, and Umno secretary-general Datuk Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki.
PKR Vice-President Rafizi Ramli, Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, and Saraswathy Kandasami were also attending the conference.
Amanah president Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu and Amanah deputy president Datuk Seri Mujahid Yusof Rawa were also present.
This is the first conference since the formation of the Unity Government after the 15th General Election (GE15) last year.
A total of 1,530 eligible branch representatives from across the country, involving 3,868 delegates, attended the conference. This is an increase compared to last year's DAP congress in September.
All MPs, State Assembly Members, and Senators were representatives at the conference, in addition to the presence of branch-level delegates.
The conference is expected to discuss the party's plans for the future, as well as its role in the Unity Government.
