AMPANG JAYA - "I never thought I'd find her and the kids like that," said Alex, a man who used to be in a relationship with a woman found dead alongside her two children in an Ampang apartment last Thursday.

Alex said that even though they had separated two years ago, they still lived in the same apartment but in different rooms.

He had last seen her on Monday night when he heard some strange sounds in her room.

"She was known as a loving mother who cared deeply for her children.

"It's shocking to see her in such a terrible state," he said.

Early Tuesday morning, Alex heard the sound of tape being used but didn't think much of it, assuming she was packing for her business.

As days passed, he grew concerned because her room's light remained on, and he hadn't seen her leave.

A letter from a friend, stating she hadn't come to work, raised further alarms.

Alex decided to break into her room, only to discover her and her children unconscious.

"I found three lifeless bodies, and my emotions were beyond words – I felt extreme sadness and grief," he recalled.

He wished she had confided in him, despite their breakup, as he knew her as a strong single mother who helped her friends but kept her problems to herself.

Last Thursday, the police received a call at 7.31 am about the incident in Kampung Baru Ampang.

Upon arriving, they found the 42-year-old woman and her two fully clothed children, a 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl, all deceased. An envelope with a will and cash was also discovered.

Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan revealed that the victims had been dead for over 24 hours.

The case is currently under investigation and has been classified as a sudden death (SDR) case.
