JOHOR BAHRU - Umno grassroots need to put aside sentiments or feelings of doubt to vote for the Pakatan Harapan (PH)-Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate in the Pulai parliament and the Simpang Jeram state legislative assembly by-elections this Saturday.

Johor Umno Youth Chief Noor Azleen Ambros said that for both by-elections, they need to look at the importance of the future with a bigger picture.

"The Johor Umno youth admitted honestly and conscientiously that it was not easy for the grassroots of Umno and the Malays to vote for PH in the by-election in Johor this time.

"For Umno grassroots, for decades and through various election episodes, they have never known anything other than the 'dacing logo' on the ballot paper.

"For the Malays, we understand how much there is still doubt and suspicion, especially looking at certain personalities and various national issues lately.

"However, for the by-election in Pulai Parliament and Simpang Jeram State Assembly, we all have to look at the bigger picture," he said in a statement on Friday.

He said that in this by-election, what will also be at stake is the stability of the state government under the leadership of Johor Menteri Besar, Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.

Noor Azleen wants the grassroots of Umno and the Malays to consider all the efforts and achievements of Onn Hafiz during these two years.

"Help the leaders of our country, who have great vision and ambitions for their nation.

"The dream is to build a first-class state and nation, a prosperous, united, and prosperous society," he said.

If it is too difficult for the Malays to trust and vote for the PH candidate, he said, at least give Onn Hafiz faith.

"If you are not willing to support other parties, at least consider this as a way to help Datuk Onn Hafiz as the leader of Johor.

"Don't because of mosquitoes, burn mosquito nets. Don't, because of sentiments and outside influences, sacrifice and pawn our country's prosperity," he said.
