SHAH ALAM - Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek highlighted the remarkable qualities of Malaysian teachers, such as their resilience, creativity, and innovation in the education field.
She spoke about this during a Townhall Rakyat programme at the Karangkraf Complex, hosted by Samuel Isaiah.
Fadhlina praised these educators for their outstanding work in bringing innovative ideas to their students, creating a positive and enriching learning atmosphere.
"Many young Malaysians aspire to become teachers.
"This reflects the nation's dedication to nurturing the next generation through a strong education system," she said.
Fadhlina stressed that the strength of a nation often starts with its people, and education plays a vital role in this process.
However, she acknowledged the challenges faced by teachers.
"It is vital to provide proper training and development for teachers and resolving any issues they encounter.
"Efforts are underway to lighten the load on teachers, and additional measures are in the works to ensure their well-being and effectiveness in their roles," she added.
In a related matter, Fadhlina said that the government has taken steps, including Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes, to offer training and support for teachers.
"This support helps them deliver the best possible education to the people they serve," she said.
This Townhall meeting coincided with the Sinar Bestari Education Carnival, making it a special event focused on education.
