SHAH ALAM - Karangkraf Group's Joint Advisor Datuk Muhammad Nasir Hamzah will deliver a lecture in conjunction with the International Conference on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (A-Icon-Steam 2023) in Semarang, Indonesia on Sept 1 to 2.
A-Icon-Steam 2023 Media and Publicity Committee chief Yusof Ghani in a statement said that the presence of Nasir as a media figure in the conference could provide important input for sharing his experience throughout his time in the media industry and journalism.
He said the conference is a premier event coordinated with the Fourth international Digital Art Exhibition (ASEDAS 2023).
"Nasir as the guest is expected to share his views and experiences in the keynote speech through his direct involvement in the field through his role in Kumpulan Media Karangkraf Sdn Bhd, the challenges of Industry 4.0 and artificial intelligence technology in the context of Steam fields in the industry and media, journalism, publishing and education sector.
"In addition, he will also discuss opportunities and challenges in the Steam field to achieve creative and innovative solutions in the real world," he said in a statement on Tuesday.
ASEDAS International founder and president Associate Professor Ahamad Tarmizi Azizan said Nasir represented a reporter and media executive with a wide range of experience and held many major positions in several named media companies as well as appointed as the senior executive in a Malaysian higher education institution.
"We are happy to have Nasir as the main speaker at this international conference.
"He represented a respected figure in the journalism, publishing and media industry and has faced the challenges of technological development across various disciplines of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics," he said.
The conference with the theme of 'Digital Today' was organised by the Asian Southeast Digital Art Association (ASEDAS International) in strategic collaboration with entities such as the ASEDAS Malaysia, Universiti BINUS, Universiti Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), Politeknik Merlimau Melaka (PMM).
It involved cooperation of over 20 universities, educational institutions, government agencies and NGOs from several nations including Indonesia, Vietnam, Belgium, China, South Korea, Mexico, India and others.
A-Icon-Steam 2023 featured other main speakers including Dr Bambang Dwi Wijanarko from Universiti BINUS, Professor Dr Zdzislawa Toloczko from Poland, Zulhaidi Mohd Jawi from Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS), Irwan Hanoko from Universiti Pradita, Indonesia who was the founder of World Graphic Designers (WGD) and Ahamad Tarmizi from UMK.
