Associated Press reported on Monday, citing a fresh poll by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, that 77 per cent of respondents think that the 77-year-old president is too old to be effective for another four years. This opinion is shared by 89 per cent of Republican voters and 69 per cent of Democrats, the findings showed.

When asked about the first word of phrase that comes to mind at the mention of Biden, 26 per cent of respondents mentioned his age, another 15 per cent used the words "slow" or "confused." Conversely, only 3 per cent of respondents chose "confused" as the word they associate with former US President Donald Trump, whereas 15 per cent chose either "corrupt" or "crooked."
