SHAH ALAM - Andorra Healthcare Berhad (Andorra) is set to establish a new branch of its Andorra Specialist Hospital in the east-coast city.
This time, Andorra has chosen Kota Bharu, Kelantan as the location for its hospital, which will have a capacity of 88 beds and will be built on an area of 2.34 acres of land.
The hospital's construction plan includes the development of a Regional Commercial Hub comprising hospitals, shopping malls, hotels, offices, convention centers, residences, heritage parks, and more.
This development is expected to bring new attractions to Kelantan.
Yesterday, Andorra successfully signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pelaburan Hartanah Berhad (PHB) and Lagenda Tunjong Sdn Bhd (LTSB).
The MoU Signing Ceremony was attended by key officials including
Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of PHB, Mohamad Damshal Awang Damit; Chief Executive Officer of Andorra, Mohammed Rizlan Abdul Razak and Chief Executive Officer of LTSB, Dato' Ar Aminuddin Abdul Manaf.
The hospital, which will provide various medical services for women and children, is a part of Andorra Healthcare Berhad's five-year development plan in Malaysia and its expansion into Thailand.
Andorra Healthcare Berhad founder Dr Khamsiah said that Kota Bharu has always been a target due to the high female population in the area.
"We are very excited to sign the MoU with renowned companies such as PHB and LTSB, and carry on with our plan to have more Andorra Women & Children Specialist Hospitals throughout Malaysia.
"The hospital in Kota Bahru is part of our target because of the high female population in the area," she said in a statement today.
Andorra Healthcare Berhad is associated with BFWW Medic Sdn Bhd, which holds the licence to operate and manage the Andorra Women & Children's Hospital in Seri Kembangan, Selangor.
The hospital, which began operating in 2017, follows a 'By Women for Women' concept, prioritising the needs and well-being of women and children.
It is the only hospital in Malaysia known to offer services exclusively provided by female doctors and clinical staff to treat women and children, aiming to ensure their comfort when seeking medical treatment and health services.
