KOTA KINABALU - A 26-year-old woman was killed in a seven-vehicle crash on Jalan Lintas near Lintas Square on Tuesday evening.
The accident occurred at around 6pm, and involved a Perodua Bezza, Perodua Myvi, Toyota Vios, Proton Saga, Proton Iriz, and two lorries.
Kota Kinabalu Fire and Rescue station head, Ordine Gilu, said the department received a call about the incident at 6.08pm.
He said a total of 14 members were dispatched to the scene which is six kilometers away from Kota Kinabalu Fire and Rescue station.
"There was a female victim trapped in a Perodua Bezza vehicle and the fire brigade managed to remove the victim but she was confirmed dead at the scene," he said in a statement yesterday.
The victim's body has been handed over to the police for further action.
