SHAH ALAM - The portfolios for the newly appointed Selangor exco members will be decided after a final discussion with the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
This was announced by the Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari who said that the complete list of portfolios will be revealed after the Selangor state government council members meeting on Wednesday.
"Tomorrow we will hold the first exco meeting, and I will finalise the respective portfolios of the exco members involved.
"Soon, I will discuss with the main leadership, followed by evening and night, when I will be with the Prime Minister to finalise the list.
"While for tomorrow, after the (Selangor state council members') first meeting, I will inform them," he told media members on Tuesday.
Amirudin said that the portfolios for the newly appointed Selangor exco will also be realigned in line with the portfolios at the federal level.
"We had to re-align according to the portfolio at the federal level because there are new ministries for the cost of living, for example, at the federal level.
"This is one of the things we are trying to adapt to—climate change, for example—things we need to look at because, in the end, our task is also to deal with the Federation," he added.
