KUALA TERENGGANU - The extensive experience of former minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed is seen as a beacon of hope to raise income and economic level across four states under Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration, said Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar.
During a meeting among both leaders, the points of discussion were development gap in 'Malay Belt' states, state's asset development to increase revenue, state's economic level and investment increment.
"Besides that, how can the four states under Pas/PN collaborate to overcome it within the state government's power framework under the The Ninth Schedule to the Federal Constitution.
"Tok Pa's extensive experience for a long time in the National Economic Action Council and various ministries including the Finance Ministry, the Entrepreneur Development Ministry, the Higher Education Ministry and others can hopefully help us in the four states," he said on a Facebook post last night.
Samsuri had a meeting with Mustapa or better known as Tok Pa yesterday to discuss micro issues at the state level.
The Terengganu state poll and Kuala Terengganu by-election on Aug 12 made a history PN candidates won all 32 seats in the state, including one parliamentary seat.
This unprecedented victory has shifted the political landscape in Terengganu with no opposition's to carry out its traditional role in providing checks and balances in the state.
Apart from Terengganu, the other three states under PN rule are Kelantan, Kedah and Perlis.
