ALOR GAJAH - Today’s youth leaders need to nurture and develop a line of leaders of calibre who would serve the country in the future, said Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh.
He said that the current youth leaders would pass the age limit set, therefore early preparations need to be made to form the next generation of leaders.
"The youths must always be efficient, fast, creative, intelligent and brave in facing any challenges because they will determine the success of every national development agenda in the future," he told reporters after launching the state-level National Youth Day here today.
Also present were Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Adam Adli Abdul Halim and state Youth, Sports and Non-Governmental Organisations Committee chairman VP Shanmugam.
Ab Rauf added that youth associations and organisations in Melaka, need to always move proactively in carrying out any kind of programme, especially those that can ease the burden of the people. - BERNAMA
