"The main purpose of the convoy is to deliver donations as we commemorate Police Day and share the spirit of the National Month, while travelling over 2,400 kilometres to all corners of the peninsula including southern Thailand," he told reporters when met at Harley Davidson Sales Centre in Juru where the convoy was received by state police chief Datuk Khaw Kok Chin here today.

As part of the six-day tour which began on Aug 16, the 150 convoy members comprising police personnel and Super Bike Club members will travel to every state police headquarters (IPK) in the peninsula.

"Yesterday we were at the Kelantan contingent before entering southern Thailand through Sungai Golok, where we were warmly received by the Royal Thai Police Force, and today we are headed for the Kedah contingent.

"PDRM handed over welfare donations to at least 10 individuals, comprising ailing police members, orphans and the poor, at each IPK," he said.
