KLANG - The bodies of nine victims of the plane crash near Elmina, Section U16, Shah Alam will be handed over to their next of kin tomorrow (Sunday).
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said all the remains can be claimed at the Forensics Department of the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR), here.
"All matters involving the matching process of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) samples have been completed.
"All the bodies of the victims have been identified," he said in a press conference at HTAR, today.
He said the next of kin of the victims needed to lodge a police report first.
"The investigating officer will contact the representative of the family to explain how to lodge a police report to claim the body.
"This procedure is to facilitate the handing over of the remains to the next of kin," he said.
On Thursday, a total of 10 victims were confirmed dead in the crash of the private jet.
The victims consisted of eight passengers including the plane's crew as well as two civilians, a motorcyclist and a driver of a car who happened to be at the site when the incident took place.
