KLANG - "I love you mother", were the last words pilot Shahrul Kamal Roslan said to his mother, Mahanum Ismail, 67, just days before the tragic plane crash incident, this evening.
Mahanum said she was informed about the plane crash incident involving her son in Elmina, Shah Alam by her husband while she was in the hospital receiving medical treatment.
"I had been in the hospital for 25 days and had just undergone surgery. I received the call around 4pm, informing me about the incident.
"I have only two children and he was the youngest, my pampered and beloved," she said when met at Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang today.
She added that the deceased was previously a pilot with Malaysia Airlines, Abu Dhabi and Etihad Airways but returned to his homeland when the Movement Control Order (MCO) was imposed two years ago.
"Shahrul had four children and his wife is a homemaker.
"He lost his job during MCO and only returned to work after getting the opportunity to pilot the private jet," she said.
Further commenting, Mahanum said the burial location for the deceased has not yet been decided, whether it will be in Bukit Jelutong or Wangsa Melawati.
