KUANTAN - Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail has expressed his sadness and grief over the tragic loss of Pahang exco Datuk Seri Johari Harun with nine others who died in a light plane crash at Elmina residential area, Seksyen U16, Shah Alam, this afternoon.
Johari, 53-year was also the Umno Bentong chief and Pelangai state assemblyman.
"With sadness and sorrow, I had been informed that Pahang Local Government, Housing, Environment and Green Technology Exco Datuk Seri Johari Harun was one of the 10 victims who died in the accident.
"On behalf of Pahang government, I express my condolences to the family of the deceased and the families of all the victims involved in the accident," he said in a statement on Thursday.
Wan Rosdy said that Pahang has lost a leader who had tirelessly served the people in the state.
He further appealed to public to refrain from spreading photos or videos of victims as an act of respect to the grieving families.
"I pray that the soul of the deceased may be blessed and be placed together with the martyrs and righteous people. Amen," he said.
