JOHOR BAHRU - A school in Taman Puteri Wangsa here will take disciplinary action against seven students involved in an assault case of a teen boy in Taman Bistari Indah here on Aug 9.
State Education, Information and Communications exco Norlizah Noh said currently they were awaiting the police's investigation process after all the students were remanded.
"The school would take appropriate disciplinary action. The students are being investigated and were not suspended or expelled as of now. We are awaiting the court decision (the prosecution's decision in the case)," she said in a statement, today.
Norlizah said the Pasir Gudang District Education Department will assist the school in the investigations.
Seven students aged 14 to 17 years old on Tuesday had assaulted the boy at a recreational area on Aug 9 and were remanded for two days until Wednesday to facilitate investigations into the case.
In the 3pm incident, the teen was kicked, stepped on and punched several times all over his body including his arms and legs.
