ALOR SETAR - Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor has admitted to feeling "scared" in governing the state in his second term, as the people's expectations of him are now too high.

However, the Kedah Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman stated that he would work hard to fulfil the people's aspirations in line with the Kedah Plan 2035.

He also explained that he would be fair and would not discriminate against any race in the state, even though the majority of assemblymen, especially in the government block, are Malay.

"I am also afraid that people's expectations are too high. I am afraid that what they wish for will not be achieved, but I am determined to do the best for the people and the country as much as I can," he said.

Sanusi said this during his first press conference after being sworn in as Kedah Menteri Besar at Wisma Darul Aman today.

Sanusi's comments come after he was re-elected as Menteri Besar in the recent state elections, where his coalition, PN, won 33 seats in the 40-member state assembly.
