KOTA BHARU - Kelantan caretaker Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Amar Abdullah says he is thankful that the accusations thrown at him has helped increase the majority in the state election.
"The ones who are attacking me are political opponents, that's their works. There's nothing we can do about it," he said in a press conference, today.
He said this in response to rumours that hewould be made the Menteri Besar after Datuk Ahmad Yakob said he would not shoulder the responsibility due to health reasons.
Sinar previously reported that Ahmad who was the caretaker Kelantan Menteri Besar and his deputy Mohd Amar would be replaced with new leaders if Pas won and maintained the governance in the state in the elections on Aug 12.
Pas secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said the matter was decided at the Central Pas Committee Meeting chaired by party president Tan Sri ABdul Hadi Awang on Aug 10 in Rusila, Terengganu.
He said Pas suggested the leadership of the state government under the party's administration and Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration for Kelantan, Terengganu and Kedah.
