This morning after casting his vote at the Sekolah Kebangsaan Klang Gate polling centre, Azmin spoke to reporters about his plans for a total overhaul of Hulu Kelang and reforms for the Selangor state as a whole.
"The first thing that we will do to Selangor if we win is to turn Selangor into a super smart state. It is already an advanced state but it has to to go to a higher position.
"We want Selangor to remain as the economic powerhouse. To achieve this, we must convince foreign investors, domestic investors to contribute with a comprehensive economic policy that can attract their activities in Selangor,” he said this morning.
Azmin said there needs to be investments in high technology that can create quality job opportunities for the next generation, which will contribute to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country.
"Selangor is the main contributor to national GDP and with hard work, it will continue to be one,” he said, adding that PN have laid offers that are comprehensive in effort to create a good economy.
Azmin said PN has also discussed about initiatives to betterment women of women and create a silver economy for the elderlies that has the potential to help in the development of the state.
"These offers are holistic and can convince the people that PN is ready to administer the country,” he said, adding that PN has managed to show the people that PH were traitors throughout the campaign period.
The former Investment, Trade and Industry Minister said PH had promised many things to the people but they have failed to fulfill any since they have been in power for the past eight months.
