KOTA BHARU - Caretaker Kelantan Menteri Besar, Datuk Ahmad Yakob, has successfully retained his seat in Pasir Pekan during the state elections held today.
The Election Commission released the results tonight, showing that the 72-year-old Pas Commissioner won with a significant majority of 12,811 votes.
Ahmad secured 18,783 votes, surpassing Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Mohamad Zamakh Sari Ibrahim, who garnered 5,972 votes.
In the 14th General Elections, Ahmad triumphed in the same state seat with a majority of 8,352 votes, prevailing over both BN and Pakatan Harapan (PH) contenders.

This marks Ahmad's seventh consecutive victory in the Pasir Pekan state seat, which he has held since the 9th General Elections.
