PUTRAJAYA - Terengganu records the highest number of voter turnout for the state polls compared to the other states at 70 per cent as of 4pm.
The latest update on the official Election Commission's (EC) social media platform said Kedah recorded the second-highest turnout at 68 per cent.
It was followed by Penang at 67 per cent, Selangor (65 per cent), Negeri Sembilan (62 per cent) and Kelantan (56 per cent).
However, the voter turnout trend showed a decline past noon.

The state elections witnessed a total of 570 candidates contesting for 245 state seats.
A total of 9,773,571 voters were expected to perform their responsibilities in 3,190 polling centres to decide which party would form the new state government.
