AMPANG - After a 14-day campaign period for the state election, Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for the Lembah Jaya seat, Syed Ahmad Syed Abdul Rahman, also known as Altimet, 45, admitted that the process was very tiring.
According to him, he will take a day off to rest after the polling process is complete.
The singer mentioned that every segment of society should fulfill their duty by going out to vote in their respective areas.
'I'm tired, but I have to fulfill my responsibility and then after this, I will take a day off to sleep.
'We hope more voters can come together to fulfill their duties as Malaysian citizens,' he said when approached by reporters after casting his vote at Seri Keramat Secondary School today.
On July 22, Altimet surprised many when he was announced as the PH candidate for the Lembah Jaya seat by PH Chairman, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Altimet is facing off against Perikatan Nasional candidate, Sharifah Haslizah.
Meanwhile, Sinar found that the public started queuing at the SMK Seri Keramat Polling Center since 7am.
Those who arrived early in the morning were trying to avoid congestion in the area.
