SHAH ALAM – Kedah caretaker Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor’s failure to apologise leads me to summon him, Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari reveals.
The Sungai Tua candidate Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate said he had requested Sanusi to apologise over his alleged insulting remarks towards the Selangor royal institution, but the latter did not come forward.
"Hence, I would proceed to summon him and would not take a single cent but give it to the public instead," he said at the Sungai Tua Grand Finale Ceramah Umum.
Amirudin, also the caretaker Selangor Menteri Besar, said they cannot just insult the royal institution.
"We at PH would never touch things such as the constitution and since 2013, we will never reject anything that comes from the royal institution.
"They can't just insult anyone they wish to," he said.
Commenting further, he added that PH would like to continue their good work in infrastructure in Selangor.
"We even want to continue to build a mini stadium here but it was stopped due to the pandemic," he said.
Meanwhile, he urged the public to come and vote tomorrow (Aug 12) to maintain the unity government’s administration.
"Let's maintain the continuity and unity is new for Malaysia but this coalition would make Malaysia a better country.
"This coalition would make us one and would stay strong to face any consequences," he expressed.
