KULIM: The Kedah Perikatan Nasional (PN) division aims to secure victory in 33 of the 36 contested seats in the upcoming state elections.
PN Election Campaign Director Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said the target is based on voters sentiment observed throughout his campaign.
"We can win 33-3 (losing three seats to PH-BN)," he said after attending the Grand Finale Sembang Santai With Sanusi at Tunku Putra Public Field on Friday.
When asked about predicted lost seats, Muhammad Sanusi declined to disclose it.
Kedah is considered a stronghold of PN. Saturday's state polls are set to be a fierce competition that will determine whether it can be defended.
Previously, political analysts predicted that PN might face challenges in Sidam, Kota Darul Aman, and Bakar Arang.
Kedah is viewed as a closely watched constituency, with Jeneri, contested by Muhammad Sanusi, being one of the hot seats in the state.
He will face off against Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Datuk Muhamad Khizri Abu Kassim. - Awani
