SHAH ALAM - Perikatan Nasional (PN) Subang Jaya candidate Gana Pragasam Sebastian has denied that the party is racist, saying that everyone has the right to choose their political party.
Gana said that he chose to join PN because it is a welcoming party that does not discriminate against people of different races.
"PN has six Indian contestants in the parliament centre, and the party is open to people of all races.
"I am confident that I can make a difference in Subang Jaya, and I'm not afraid to challenge the incumbent DAP candidate," he told Sinar Daily recently.
"She’s (DAP's Michelle Ng Mei Sze) contesting against me and I’m contesting against her, so it’s a healthy contest and I would never accuse her of never doing her work as we (PN) never do that kind of politics.
"People support her because she is good and her service is good and what I say to voters is that I’m contesting here and I'm not forcing anyone here to vote for me; however, please consider me, and that’s all i wanted to convey,” he added.
He said that he will focus on improving the quality of life for the people of Subang Jaya, and that he will work to address the concerns of the community.
