KUALA LUMPUR - Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain is set to be appointed as the next Bukit Aman's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Director.
Mohd Shuhaily, who previously served as the Penang Police Chief, was appointed as Kuala Lumpur Police Chief on May 15.
His transfer is expected to occur before August 30, after serving as the Kuala Lumpur Police Chief for less than four months.
The position of CID Director became vacant after Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, who held the position, was appointed as the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, starting effective June 23.
The position of Kuala Lumpur's Chief of Police will be taken over by the Deputy Director of the Integrity and Compliance Standard Department (JIPS), Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid.
Meanwhile, Deputy Director of Investigations/Legal, Criminal Investigation Department, Bukit Aman, Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa, will retain his position.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, when contacted, confirmed the upcoming changes in positions.
