KUALA TERENGGANU - Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim reiterated that he would pardon those who humiliated him but would never forgive those who stole the country’s wealth.

The prime minister said he would make sure that those involved in swindling the rakyat’s money would be investigated and charged with necessary actions.

"I forgive the others but not those who took the government’s and the rakyat’s land, logged illegally, the Jana Wibawa Rakyat scheme. You rob and sakau (steal) projects, I won’t forgive you.

"If I know, probe ... I will find you, investigate and the Attorney General will charge you, the judge will sentence you, I will send you to Sungai Buloh Prison. My room is still unoccupied,” he said in Jelajah Perpaduan Madani ceramah at People's Housing Projects (PPR) Hiliran, here on Wednesday.

Also present were Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu and Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Zambry Abd Kadir.

The prime minister also stressed that he would not interfere with any investigations involving any parties.

"Who appointed the chief commissioner (Tan Sri Azam Baki)? (Tan Sri) Muhyiddin (Yassin). Who appointed the attorney general (Tan Sri Idrus Harun)?

"So, he thought he would get off scot-free just because he appointed them? He sweet-talked and the people believed him,” he added. - Awani
