PERAI - DAP's Kasthuri Patto has slammed Perikatan Nasional (PN) secretary-general Hamzah Zainudin for his disrespectful statement on police personnel.
Kasthuri said that Hamzah as the former Home Minister should not have come out with such a disgraceful statement on police personnel.
"This is really disgusting because Hamzah was the former Home Minister.
"The Home Minister is always like the 'best-friend' to the police, they take care of the agencies under them, so to hear this comment coming from hHamzah is like looking down on your own civil servants.
"If this is the narrative they are playing, then the country will doomed if we choose this kind of leadership," she said whent met at Taman Chai Leng, here today.
She was referring to Hamzah who had criticised police personnel who did not vote for the coaltion in yesterday's early voting.
FMT had earlier reported that Hamzah had said that the policemen who voted for Pakatan Harapan (PH) have jeopardised their children's future.
"If you voted (for a coalition) other than PN, you have made it difficult for your children because DAP is dividing the country," he said in a ceramah at Taman Medan here.
Kasthuri then went on to urge Penangnites to make a wise decision in the state polls
"On top of that, they (PN) want a state like Penang.
"We are a precious state for them so they are going all out but I trust Penang voters know what is good for them and I believe they will make a wise decision in the state polls," she said.
