AMPANG - A woman was stabbed by her male friend in a condominium parking area for ending a three month relationship.
The incident took place at Bukit Antarabangsa on Sunday.
Ampang Jaya District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azam Ismail said they received a call from the public at 2:52am.
He said the 45-year-old local woman was in her vehicle when her male friend confronted her and proceeded to deflate the victim's tyres and shatter the front windshield.
"The victim run for safety but the suspect caught up and ultimately stabbing her," he said in a statement.
The victim with wounds to her midsection, left abdomen and left arm was taken by ambulance to the Ampang Hospital for medical attention, he further said.
He said the motive behind the attack was said to be due to the woman's decision to end the relationship, adding that they have only known each other for the past three months through social media App.
Azam said the suspect has been identified and are on the hunt to locate his whereabouts.
The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code linked to causing hurt with a weapon, he added.
